NIPrint

NIPrint (Network Instruments’ Print) Server for Microsoft’s Winsock is the
leader in a new generation of high performance 32-bit print servers based on
Windows sockets. NIPrint employs the industry-standard LPD/LPR protocol
to transfer print jobs to and from remote hosts and Windows personal
computers. Using the LPD/LPR protocol makes NIPrint inherently compatible
with the vast majority of Unix and other systems that implement LPD
services.
NIPrint can be used as a stand-alone printing utility and, when supplemented
by the TCP/IP Telnet and FTP programs provided with Microsoft 32 bit VxD
Winsock, it can create a very functional TCP/IP package that will satisfy the
majority of your networking needs.
NIPrint can enrich any commercial TCP/IP, X-windows, or client server
package, providing immediate, high-speed, reliable, bidirectional printing.
These printing features are often either overlooked or poorly implemented in
many commercial software packages. In either case, the NIPrint Server will
be an excellent addition to your networking utilities.
